Junior | Reception to Year 1 Excursions

December is the time for end-of-year excursions.

Reception Mid-Year Reception and Year 1 students all visited the Sea Stars Play Café in Mawson Lakes, on different days.

The students were excited as they jumped, slid, swung, balanced and crawled through the play equipment. They then had a picnic lunch in the park next to the Play Café before returning to school on a bus.

This was the first time some children had ever been on a bus trip.

The Mid-Years said their highlights were, “going on the bus”, “having an ice-cream shop”, “playing doctors” and “getting buried in balls”.

Daniella, a Reception student, said she enjoyed playing on the slide and the swing. “There was so much to do! We had lots of fun.”

Of the Year 1s, Andrew, Harlyn and Riley all enjoyed the ball pit, while Ruth said she enjoyed “going down the rainbow slide”, “looking out the window of the bus.” She thought “lunch in the park was also fun.”
