A Word from the Principal | February 2024

What a wonderful start we had on the first day back.

There was such an encouraging buzz of excitement as students and parents reconnected with friends. Music played, balloons danced and banners welcomed everyone back to the College.

I hope that everyone enjoyed being welcomed, and that it put a spring in your step for the rest of the day. A number of parents whose children were starting at Hope Christian College for the first time expressed their delight that their family felt so welcome.

Students, welcome back to school for 2024. Some of you have told me that you’ve had a great start, and that you are getting to know your teachers, reconnecting with old friends and making some new ones. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, or seek extra help if you need it.

Parents and Caregivers, please make sure that you have downloaded SEQTA Engage. This is a powerful tool which provides an overview of your child’s learning. It is also the best way for your and your child’s teachers to communicate with each other. You will know what assignments your child has and what the due dates are, so that you can play an important role in improved learning outcomes for your child.

Consent2Go is the app through which the College will communicate about special events, excursions and camps etc. All parents need this app so that their children can go on camps and excursions. No child can participate without it.

If you are experiencing any difficulties in logging into SEQTA or Consent2GO, please see our friendly office staff and they will be able to assist you.
