Dear Hope Christian College Community,
Term 1 has ended, full of exciting, challenging and fun learning experiences in the classroom, incursions, excursions, camps, lighting carnivals, sports days, chapels and assemblies.
Thank you, hard-working students, for working enthusiastically in your studies developing a passion for learning, and holistically developing invaluable life skills of personal organisation, punctuality, presentation, positivity and persistence.
Thank you to our wonderful parents and caregivers for partnering with the College in the learning growth, development, caring, nurturing and well-being of the children God has entrusted to her.
Thank you to our amazing staff for their combined efforts: Teachers, Learning support, ESOs, Library, Administration, Health Centre, Wellbeing & Chaplains, Canteen, Grounds & Maintenance, Bus drivers, OHSC and cleaning crews… ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. And as someone else once said ‘Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork’!
Blessings to you all with hopes, prayers and best wishes for a fun, safe, refreshing, rejuvenating, rest-filled and productive mid-semester break.
School commences back for the winter terms on Monday 29 April. The Uniform shop will be open on Friday 26 April for those last-minute winter uniform items. Check the College website for times.
I leave you with two encouragements from God’s Word:
“Be still, and know that I am God…” (Psalm 46:10)
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”. Isaiah 40:30-31 (NIV)
God’s Richest and Abundant Blessings,
Phil Tarrant
(Acting Principal)
