Dear Parents,
This week staff are busy preparing for on-line learning in an attempt to support all of our students whether they are at school or at home. This has been a busy week as the COVID-19 situation changes rapidly and often without warning.
We are blessed at Hope Christian College to still have no cases of COVID-19 and no suspected cases of COVID-19.
On Monday of this week the South Australian Government announced that for at least the first 2 weeks of Term 2, students should stay at home to do their school work and Hope Christian College is complying with this announcement, and asking parents to keep their children home for Weeks 1 and 2 of next term.
We do, however, realise that there are some cases where families will need to send their children to school. For instance if:
- parents still need to go to work
- you are unable to support your child’s learning
- you do not have internet access at home
- you do not have a computer or tablet that your child can use
Children who are on site at Hope Christian College in Term 2 will be taught using the same methods as those children who are at home. This means that all children will learn the same content in the same way.
Please complete the attached survey to indicate whether your children will be at school or at home for the first 2 weeks of Term 2. It is important that you include the names and year levels of all your children who will be coming to school.
It is very important for the College to comply with the Government’s directions that all families respond to this survey.
I’m sure your children will enjoy the next few weeks break from school work, and I trust that you are staying safe and finding creative ways of making social-distancing enjoyable!
Blessings
Dominic Hopps
Principal
